Nu de gekke groenten weer mogen kunnen we weer rustig ademhalen.

Hoewel, de vraag is of het er beter = schoner op wordt. Waarom zie je (chef-)koks zo vaak met hun neus vlak boven de schotel die ze aan het maken zijn gebogen staan? Is dat - naast slecht voor hun rug - niet on(gelooflijk on-)hygiënisch zo met adem, speeksel, neus en haren vlak boven ons bordje eten? En ze hebben vaak ook horloges om hun pols. En het stukje groen dat in onze mond moet in hun blote vingers.

In de eerste de beste bedrijfskantine, snackbar of zorgsinstelling draagt het keukenpersoneel handschoenen en haarnetjes, maar een sterrenkok doet alles met zijn blote handen? Ze kauwen het eten nog net niet voor. Wij van Babalin vinden dat echt heel vies. En zeg ons niet dat het 'voor de foto was' of 'voor het kookprogramma', want ook zonder camera in de buurt is deze gebogen houding vaak te zien. Kan hij van de Smaakpolitie daar niet eens aandacht aan besteden?
